Impressed to routinely see more people logged on here than "the other site"! The snowball affect is in full swing. Word of mouth combined with great directional leadership is paying off. I've heard some of the thing the future holds for SERIOUS; it's only going to get better.

I said it in another post but I really thing the volume here as of late has been increasing substantially, and I seem to notice lots of new members!!

And the quality of topics remains superior. I actually read a quote from a well known member of the other site allude to the fact there's no quality substance here. I was actually very suprised at the comment. I chalked it up to "reaching for straws".

I personally never had a real problem with the oter site and think "competition" is good and variety is the spice of life. But it really drives home the problems overthere when a member posted a really good suggestion, a moderator agreed and replied, "I'll forward that to IB admin, hopefully they'll get back to me"....that right there sums it all up.

That's exactly how things have to be handled over there since IB took over, and it was REALLY frustrating. That's just one of the reasons I came over here. Things get done, asap.

The Success here, really does go back to the 2000- 2003 oso type moderation of a well oiled site .
This site is not run by one womans opinions , rather it has many diverse moderators whom probably dont always agree themselves ,making it much more open to many different types of boaters .
That being said , as one whose bad habit is getting banned from one or the other site for over reaching comments , This site actually moderates the content accuratly . Thank you
I no doubt in the future will be banned from here,..... from time to time , however the mods here i feel will contact me as in the past , saying HEY thats too far . and I will calm down and be a part again . thats fair .

You are correct we will contact you and you seem to have a bit of an idea sorta, of the "discussions" that go on before anyone is banned or even contacted. There are many opinions expressed and taken into account, we are here to have fun and hope that all the members do also.

The job of being a Mod here has been very easy for the most part and thanks to everyone for that.
