It's been alot easier on the wallet this year! Only missed one weekend on my boat due to carnage, but it wasn't major and less than $125 to get back in the game. I don't know why, but I keep a log of my boating and expenses for some reason.

    As of 8/1/09

    Gallons used: 610
    Cost of fuel:$1927
Total engines running time: 31.4 hours
    Distance traveled: 547.4 miles
    MPG: .89
    Cost per running hour:$61.37
    Fuel cost per mile:$3.52

These #'s are just for the Cig. and I have to admit that I was pleased. I thought that it would be more expensive than what ended up being. I've used my little whaler at least for 30 hours and we've put about 25 hours on my Wife's center console since we got it a month ago.

Does anyone else keep track of this chit, or am I the only one???

Not bad Craig. I'm a little over 1000 gallons so far. At 3500rpm cruise I'm burning 13.8GPH, so in reality it's not all that bad at all. I think I'm somewhere around 40 hours this year.

I figured this out yesterday actually, 375 gallons so far this year and going to put in 150 gallons today if i can get Kurt to help me pull the boat. This year I have done more boating then I have in the past 5 years since I got the land in Maine. It was nice but the windows come soon and then I will be back to work and less play time.

Mine hasnt been too bad this year either, the gas is less than the bar tabs. total fill up when Dave finished the drives was just over 500 bucks, past couple weekends just top it off with about 150 per side and its been great.

I was on vacation last week (9 days on the boat) spent $1750.00 on fuel and went for a short boat ride almost every day30-40 miles at most. its a 35 min. ride to the big lake down the river at no wake speed. I think that figures out to a cost that I dont want to know per mile. Had a great time though.

Maybe not to the "T" like you did but I definitely keep track. I like to see what's comming in and what's going out....

Last year and the years before I averaged between $1000-1500 a month in fuel. So far this year I've spent that as a whole.. Although, I didn't plan on using it this year..

    I burn 40 gal/hr @ 3700, 62 mph. Yesterday, 67 mph @ 4k but no idea on the fuel burn.

    Pretty boat ..nice pic.

With all the rain this summer here, I think if I check I'll find that I've put more gas in my lawn mower than both boats...and then I'd have to kill myself.

What you all should be measuring is the smile on your face minus the weeks aggravation you lost, times how much your significant other appreciates your new energy level. Then forget about how much you spent this weekend and start saving to do it again next weekend!
